Dispersion compensation box for short pulse experiments and pulse re-compression. VENTEON PULSE : FIVE is prealigned and enclosed in a compact and transportable setup for easy application in the lab. Dispersion properties can be adjusted by a flexible setup or custom-designed according your needs. . Approaches for handling and applying ultrashort laser pulses have to be well-considered! A pulse as short as 5 fs is streched up to 12 fs just by travelling along one meter air. By shining the pulse through optics such as thin lenses or substrates makes it even worse, but this is usually unavoidable with respect to applying the pusle for experiments. Thus, the benefits of ultrashort laser pulses can be lost very easily. |

To overcome this problem an ultrashort pulse can be re-compressed by dispersion-compensating mirrors down to nearly the original pulse duration - depending on the amount of media to be compensated. The "dispersion box" VENTEON | PULSE : FIVE is a tool that utilize these dispersion compensating mirrors and BaF2 substrates to re-compress the pulse for your experiments or measurements after travelling through serveral media and air. The box can be either custom-designed for your defined experiment or flexible allowing for different dispersion configurations in one single setup. |
